Operational Commissioning - refers to activities undertaken leading up to handover of the building to the users, and is the process of preparing a new clinical or service area for occupation.

BUILDING Commissioning

Prior to practical completion of the building, we are part of the process to ensure:

  • the building is functioning, operational and ready for use.
  • defects and any outstanding work is identified and documented.
  • handover and training to the business areas have been completed to the satisfaction of the executive management team.
  • ensure handover documentation includes operation and maintenance manuals, warranty and test certificates.
  • provides asset information so that it can be included in the maintenance register or management system.

Operational Commissioning

We undertake all the activities that will make sure staff are familiar with their new area and can confidently provide the care patients need across the entire health facility:

  • Review of models of care and designing new business processes.
  • Leading the State Health Department Audit.
  • Leading the accreditation audit.
  • Infection control audit.
  • Staff recruitment and  induction.
  • Staff training and education.
  • Ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Mentoring the senior management team in all the processes of the health facility functions.
